Anxiety & Burnout

Millennials are known for being anxious. We’ve even been called “the burnout generation.” It’s no wonder why. We’ve been told we can do whatever we want and be whoever we want, but how do you get from where you are now to where you want to be?

You’re probably feeling overwhelmed. Who can blame you? You’re being pushed and pulled in so many different directions each day. You have so much going on and you’re expected to hold everything together, but at some point you feel like you’re going to explode. That is a completely normal and appropriate feeling. It’s also a sign that your anxiety may be getting too much for one person to manage on their own — that’s where I come in.

As a millennial therapist in West Hollywood, I understand how overwhelming just existing can be. You’re trying to fight for social justice, lessen your carbon footprint, establish yourself as a creative, maintain a relationship, and manage your emotions. Of course, you’re feeling overwhelmed and confused! How could you not be?

Having a therapist in who understands how to navigate the complexities of everyday life can be pivotal in the healing process. We will work together to understand the patterns of your anxiety, how it is impacting you in your life and relationships. You don’t have to walk the path of healing alone. We will do it together.

how does burnout affect relationships?

Burnout can wreak havoc on our relationships. You have so much tension inside you that it naturally spills out into several areas of your life. Being so depleted can lead to emotional outbursts and frustration with the people closest to you. You may feel irritable all the time or maybe you isolate yourself. Either way, it is often our relationships that suffer the most when experiencing burnout.

how do i recover from burnout?

In therapy, we will explore how you got to where you are now. We will explore your unique patterns, how they developed and how they may be helping or hurting you. Then we will work together to implement more healthy coping strategies and identify what changes you can make. I know it’s overwhelming, but you don’t have to carry the weight of all this on your own, I will help you carry it.
